DoMS IIT Kanpur

Set up in 1974 as an interdisciplinary program, the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) at IIT Kanpur is one of the first in the country to leverage the analytical education of engineers in the training of management professionals. DoMS IIT Kanpur has been ranked 29th by NIRF 2024 in the Management Category. The department currently offers MBA, MTech and PhD programs in Industrial and Management Engineering. The 2-year full-time residential flagship MBA program of IME Kanpur works along with the CAPSTONE program. The Capstone Project is a two-semester process in which students pursue independent research on a question or problem of their choice, engage with companies in relevant disciplines, and - with the guidance of a faculty mentor - produce a substantial paper that reflects a deep understanding of the topic.
